Document Checklist : UK Tier 2 Work Visa
This is the visa for workers who are getting employment letter from the registered company in United Kingdom for work. This enables UK employers to employ skilled and highly-qualified workers from outside the EEA and it has replaced the old Work Permit visa scheme.
All who are applying for this visa, must make sure that the company who has sponsored them are registered in the Tier 2 companies list. The Documents required for this visa are:
A current Passport.
A coloured passport size photograph.

Bank statement showing that you have 945 Pounds in your account and must be 90 days old in the account. If not this, then the sponsor can give a letter/certificate that they are ready to support and accommodate the employee for first month. Also make sure that Pounds are transferred as per Oanda.com if need to check the currency exchange.
Must meet the English Language ability which is at the level of C1.
Many people can be tested for Tuberculosis test before they are granted the visa.
Must have a blank page on the passport, so that if all is positive then there should be a space for visa to be stamped.
