Document Checklist USA Student Visa
This is the visa for all who want to go to US to study and come back to their home country. Study in US if all go in good college or University, helps them to grow and have a really good future. Also this visa is mainly to study in USA and come back to the home country after the course is finished.
Documents required for this visa are:
Current and valid passport. (Will one blank page atleast).
One Photograph as per specifications required.
Visa Fee is to be paid before the interview appointment is made.
At the time of interview must have the letter of interview with one extra copy of same.
Need to have the barcode document of I-20 which is confirmation of Eligibility of Non-immigrant Student Status obtained from US College/University.
Need to have an extra copy of I-20.
Need to have the photocopy of first and the last page of passport.
Financial Documents: Need to provide or show the liquid assets in hand which should be sufficient enough to pay the fee and living expenditure for atleast one year in US. Also need to prove the readily available funds to cover the rest of the months or years of study in USA.
As mentioned above of Financial documents, do include last three year tax returns (by father or mother who are supporting the student till date), Bank records like bank statement, Pay Slips or employment letter to prove the income, Chartered Account Statement of income to the family or parents, etc.
Original documents of previous study in home country.
Relevant test score like TOEFL, SAT, GRE, GMAT etc.
