This the visa for entrepreneurs who have already established high growth or innovation business which has good prospect of export in New Zealand. There are two categories under this visa:
Entrepreneur Residency Category (2 years): This is the category for those entrepreneurs who have already purchased a business in New Zealand and have been self-employed in that business in the past two years and moreover, the business that they are doing has helped New Zealand significantly in terms of income and support. If you are following all the things mentioned in this category, then you are eligible to apply for New Zealand residency.
Six month Entrepreneur Residency: IF the entrepreneur has been running business in New Zealand for last 6 months and the business that they are doing are high value. These kind of entrepreneurs also have to take care of their English test i.e. IELTS along with their health and Character requirements before they are applying for the same. Not only this they must have the following too:
Were earlier holding Entrepreneur Work Visa or Long Term Business Visa.
Have successfully purchased or established a business.
Are self-employed in the business.
Have invested atleast 0.5 million NZ$ in the business.
Have created atleast 3 full time jobs for New Zealand citizens or residents.
