Non Award Visa (Subclass 575)
This is the visa that allows the students to stay in Australia and study full time for two kinds of courses, which are:
Non-award foundation studies course, or
Components of the course without ELICOS, which does not lead to the award of any kind.
This kind of visa for the student is also mentioned in the new rules under Streamlined Visa Processing. So all students from abroad, who want to do these kind of courses in the colleges or universities that are named in SVP list, will have the better chance for getting the visa and will be assessed as per Assessment Level 1.
This visa will help the students to:
Study in Australia.
An eligible family member of the student can accompany the student in Australia.
When the student has commenced the course to study in Australia, have the right to work part-time, i.e. upto 40 hours per fortnight when the study is going on, and when there are vacations or holidays, then have the right to work unlimited hours.
Also the family member have the right to work full time, but for that they have to first apply for "Permission to Work"
To get this visa, all students must study full time and also should have COE (Confirmation of Enrollment) in hand.
Also the Australian High Commission will take care of few things before granting this visa. These are mainly:
The personal circumstances in your home country.
The potential circumstances in Australia while you are studying.
What will be the value of the course for your future, that you are coming to study in Australia.
The student’s immigration history.
Will check all other things to are relevant for the students intention to remain in Australia temporarily.
