Skilled Independent Visa (Subclass 189)
This is the visa for skilled workers from any country to settle in Australia, and is also not sponsored by state, a family member or any employer.
This is the kind of visa that will make you a permanent resident and work in Australia. Although, it is a really nice category of visa, but there are rules to follow and few requirements are there to be eligible in this stream. First you need to see that your occupation is nominated or mentioned in the skilled occupation list that is generally released every year in July, have obtained suitable skilled assessment done by the authority that is mentioned in that skill by Department of immigration and Border Protection. Also, should be competent in English in terms of Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking and lastly should not be more than 50 years of age.

Before you start your application, need to have range of information prepared before you start the process or Expression of Interest.
This includes IELTS test, Skilled assessments, positive result, pay slips, police clearance certificate, Evidence to support that you have claimed the points, etc.
The fee for this is $ 3520 for main applicant and other fee for dependents.
